Privacy policy
Last updated 1 November 2026
Docket & Co is a sole-trader business based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, run by Joseph Fewtrell. We set up email and admin automation for small businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
If you have any questions, email josephfewtrell@docketandco.com.au.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you contact us or become a client, we collect your name, business name, email address and phone number, plus the business details you choose to share so we can set up your automation. That can include your suppliers, opening hours, the kinds of email you receive and examples of replies you have written.
Information from your Google account
If you connect a Gmail account, you sign in with Google yourself and approve access on Google's own screen. We never see or store your Google password. With your approval, the connection lets our automation:
- read incoming email messages, including their sender, subject, body and attachments;
- add and remove labels on those messages, and move them out of your inbox;
- create draft replies in your account; and
- send email from your account, which we only use to forward receipts and invoices to a service you have asked us to use, such as Hubdoc. We never send replies to your customers or suppliers; you send every draft yourself.
Our website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to run and protect the site.
How we use Google user data
We only use data from your Google account to provide the features you have asked for: sorting and labelling your email, drafting replies for you to review, flagging urgent emails, and forwarding receipts to your bookkeeping service. We use it for nothing else.
Docket & Co's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use or transfer it for advertising.
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- We only share it with the service providers listed below, and only so they can run the features you asked for.
- We do not read your email ourselves, except for specific messages when you have agreed to it (for example, while we test your setup or fix a problem you have reported), when needed for security, or when required by law.
Service providers we use
Your email is processed by these providers on our behalf:
- Make (make.com) runs our automation workflows. Email content passes through Make each time the automation runs, and Make keeps a log of each run for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) so problems can be investigated.
- Anthropic provides the Claude AI model that reads each email and suggests how to label it and what a reply should say. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic may not train its models on this content.
- Hubdoc (owned by Xero) receives copies of receipts and invoices, but only if you ask us to set this up.
- Our web host serves this website.
Where your information is processed
These providers process information outside Australia, including in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers that protect information to a standard comparable with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How long we keep information
- We do not keep copies of your email. The labels and drafts we create stay in your own Gmail account.
- We keep your business profile and contact details while you are a client.
- When you stop using our service, we disconnect your account and delete your business profile within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something longer.
Your choices
- You can disconnect Docket & Co from your Google account at any time from your Google Account's third-party connections. The automation stops working as soon as you do.
- You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the information we hold about you by emailing josephfewtrell@docketandco.com.au. We will respond within 30 days.
How we protect information
Access to your Gmail account uses Google's secure sign-in, so we never handle your password. Connections are limited to what the automation needs, our accounts are protected with strong passwords and two-step verification, and access to client data is limited to the person running your automation.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, please email us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed, and we will tell clients by email about any significant change.
